July 26th

Oh my goodness I was so excited for this day since October when we bought our tickets to wicked. And it was only one of the very few days I have taken off of work this summer. Any who I started off the day at seven peaks with my niece Mccall which was so much fun we went early so we missed all of the crowd and it was perfect weather. I even convinced Mccall to go on almost all of the rides :). I then met up with my mom and we drove up to Salt Lake. We went to Harmons Market witch was amazing seriously the nicest grocery store I have seen the store was huge. I wish they had the Harmons Market in Provo. They also had delicious looking produce... haha we found a huge pomegranate and beautiful flowers. We stopped for an early dinner at The Cheesecake Factory which is always amazing they had a new cheesecake pina colada...yum.
We then walked around The City Creek Mall our first time ever! I was so amazed it was beautiful the river in the inside was so cool and we had a great time just walking in the stores and enjoying the warm weather.

Later we got parked and walked in to see Wicked at the Capitol Theater. We didn't have the best seats but we sure had a great time. I had never been to Wicked before but had heard many great things about it but I was not disappointed it truly exceeded my expectations. The performers were so professional and could really sing. I really enjoyed the music and had a good laugh through out the show. I just fell in love with the character Glenda she was my favorite she was so cute and funny. I am so glad that I got to go with my mom and have a wonderful day!

Heaven is Here

I must say that when I heard Stephanie Nielson's story when she was in a terrible place crash that burned 30% of her husbands body and 80% of her body I was shocked. I remember seeing her story on the news and also Oprah finding it amazing how she had made it alive. From then on I have been following her blog and have been truly inspired by her story. I just finished her book today at work and I must say that there were times I got a emotional and got teared up hoping that no one would come up to me and see... haha. Stephanie Nielson is such an amazing women truly inspiring. She is one of my heros because of the person she is. She is so strong and has a strong testimony. I hope that I can be a mother like her. Read her book I promise you won't be disappointed.

Saddest day ever......

Today was my last day at Hillcrest Elementary being an Aid in Mrs. Headman's Kindergarten class. I started in October and today was the last day. Over the many months I have learned a ton about teaching and children. Overtime I grew a great love for each of the kids in my class. They are all so sweet and have many different personality's. You can imagine there was never a dull moment when I was there. I truly can't wait to become a teacher and get to teach all day because the two hours a day I spend with them doesn't seem to be enough. Today I wanted to take them all home with me... haha no big deal 35 kids to myself. I hope that I made a difference in their lives because I know they have certainly made mine. I can see so much potential in them and when I see them learn something and it clicks in their brain its so great. I just hope they remember me when they look back on there time in kindergarten because I surely remember my kindergarten teacher. At the end of this whole experience I am truly grateful for everything. I am really going to miss my class. Today at the end of class I couldn't help but get a little teary-eyed and smile when they all gave me a hug. Love you Mrs. Headman's Kindergarten Class 2012
