v day

Me being single I'm not really a fan of valentines day but this year was great! My ward attacked our door that morning with notes, candy, and cupcakes. My roommates were so sweet too I got lots of candy, cake bites, and cookies.

I LOVE making valentines! Maybe because I love making crafts. But this year I made strawberry heart oreos and I think they turn out really cute!
Here is the valentines I made when I was an aid at hillcrest. The little kindergarteners were so excited and loved them.
My v day nails :)
So I think I maybe adding a collection to my bow obsession.... ah can't get enough

* frozen *

I know pretty everyone has already been to the ice castles in Midway and its old news but I was pretty excited about going. It was a perfect day to go this past Wednesday because it was rainy and not busy at all. We made it up by 5pm enjoyed it in the daylight, went to dinner, then made it back again. It was great because we got to see the ice in both settings.

It was so fun going with Misty, Bryce and my mom!
 Amazing

Loved it!

pretty much a post about babies

Okay I dread January... I feel like it is cold, depressing, and nothing good happens that month. Okay I may be exaggerating a bit ;) This year January ended up being great! One of the highlights was Nicole's Baby Shower for Baby Nixon! Misty hosted it at her house and it was wonderful it was so fun to celebrate and get excited for Tyler and Nicole's baby boy to come soon.

In February our family got a big surprise that Russ and Misty are expecting again! I am thrilled I can't wait for them to have another baby and for Bryce to be a big brother. Woot woot can't wait for July when I will be an aunt again!

Baby Nixon really made us wait for him I really expected him to come in January but he came just after his due date. Thank goodness he came then I don't think I could wait much longer. I remember at work on Friday I was so anxious I couldn't wait to meet him for the first time. Nixon Tyler Hunsaker born February 7, 2014 9 lbs and 21inches long! I can't even tell you how cute he is I honestly just loved holding him and looking at pictures of him.... baby hungry much. I am so happy for Tyler and Nicole they are such good parent already!

This weekend was a blast! Friday Nixon was born, got off work early, then went to Chillis and a play at BYU with Lindsay. Saturday I had my shoe date which is a thing my ward does to get everyone dating each other... haha. Anyways last semester the boys put a tie with a time for a date and the girls picked a tie and did 2 acts of service for the guys and then went on the date. Well this semester the girls put in a shoe, all of my roommates decided we should do the date together to make it less awkward. So as it got closer to Saturday my date brought me chocolates, a rubber band ball (so when I was little I use to be really afraid of rubber bands I think because I didn't like the smell of them and my brothers would shoot them at me) but I said that at ward prayer and he remembered, and a ton of cereal. I definitely got spoiled sadly my roommates got duds and they didn't get any gifts till they showed up for the date which made it hard to know if they had a date. But Saturday came we played apples to apples and psychiatrist and my chef roommate Allison made chocolate lava cake. We had a good time.

Saturday afternoon we did some errands in Lindsay's car and when we were heading back to the apt we ran into BYU basketball traffic so we thought to dodge it.... not really ended up stuck in a huge ditch with Lindsay's car really stuck. 40 minutes later a tow truck came and we were fine. Saturday night we had a stake activity at seven peak ice arena it was great to skate for a little bit and I think I am finally getting the hang of it for this only being my 4th time. Then we ended the night watching a scary movie. Such a busy and fun weekend.

This was from forever ago but I forgot to post about it. As always every year So You Think You Can Dance comes to Utah I go with my mom it has become tradition. I look forward to watching the season and going to the tour. Last year they didn't come to Utah so it had been a year since the last time. It was amazing as always! Here are some pictures from my phone that don't do it justice but you get the picture.

starting something new

So I finally got a gym pass.... terrible I know I had a pass in high school and then haven't had one since. Not that I really needed one then I always danced a ton but now that I don't dance (just teaching). Now I realized I need to get a pass to be motivated and I have set a plan. I am going to make a goal to go to the gym at least 3 times a week. I am really excited about it despite my bad knees I am going to do my best and learn to love running ;) So here is to starting one of my new years resolution 25 days late. Better late than never right...

The Future

I found this story on FB and I couldn't help but put it on by blog. I am not going to lie I cried while reading this because reading every attribute I thought of my dad. I am so thankful that I have a dad that is such a great example of who I want in a future spouse. Also as I finished reading I know that both of my parents could have written a letter to me almost exactly like that. I am reminded how blessed I am to have parents that want the best for {me} and more importantly that {I} want these attributes in a future husband. As for now the search will keep on keeping on ;) (wish me luck)

Seven Attributes that Can Help Make a Husband Worth the Trouble. (A note to my daughter)
